| The camp spot is about 250 feet off the road, so it requires a drivway. When we purchased the land, it was completely wooded. During the fall and into the early winter, we spent many hours cutting down trees, dragging off brush, and pulling stumps. When I say pulling stumps, I mean it. We used a pick axe, regular axe, shovels and an old chainsaw to dig them up and pull them out. No stump grinders. That would be too easy for us. We are trying to do this project all manually, and for as little cost as possible. Our goal is to complete the entire camp without opening any loans. |

| This is how much we had done as of snowfall in 2005 (late November?) It's already quite a bit of accomplishment. When we started, the trees were just as thick in the driveway part as they are in the rest of the picture. All of the cleared part has already had the stumps removed too! | |||||||||||||
