Kitchen
The house was built in 1850 and the kitchen has not been updated much since. But we can fix it!!
Yuck!
This was the pantry which is attached to the kitchen.

We're changing it into a laundry room.
Chainsaw
The easiest way to start over.

We removed the wall, then the ceiling, then the floor.

All I can say is.. I HATE horse-hair plaster.
New sills, new floor joists, new windows, new laundry room in the back.
We have the plywood down on the floor too at this point, I just didn't get an updated photo yet.
There was no insulation what-so-ever in the exterior walls.  Brrr...
When we finally finish remodelling it, which will take over a year, we are going to completely gut it and start over with new custom cabinetry, custom stainless appliances and granite countertops.  I'm going to do a style that matches my style but is appropriate for the rest of the house.   Check out the kitchen remodel at the old house to get a peek of what we can do.  We did every single bit of it ourself starting with a completely gutted (all the way down to the insulation) room.
Click here to see it, you'll think we're crazy for buying this place instead.....
