This is what we did...

We tore everything out, even the wallboard that is still up in this photo.  We built a makeshift sink area so we could still live here.  Ugly huh?

We redid all of the wiring, and moved the lights, put in new fixtures, removed the wall between the kitchen and livingroom, moved the sink, replaced all of the windows and doors, and repaired the ceiling, then textured the ceiling.

We hung v-match pine on the walls.

Installed new maple cabinets.
