| We got 16 baby turkeys on March 29th. The turkeys are being raised for food. We ordered them from Meyer Hatchery in Ohio. They came to us via USPS. We really only wanted 12 turkeys, but the minimum order was 15, and then they threw in a free one. That's a lot of turkeys! |

| The turkeys are 2 days old in this picture. The yellow ones are Giant White Turkeys (not so giant yet) and the brown ones are Broad Breasted Bronze turkeys. In both breeds the hens get to 25 lbs and the toms get to 45 lbs. |

| For the first 2 weeks, the turkeys lived in this little pen inside of our house. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| This is the outside pen that the turkeys lived in inside of the garage until they had enough feathers to withstand the outside temps. This pen is not quite finished yet in this picture. This pen was moved outside, with a fence around it once the turkeys were old enough to no longer need a heat lamp when they were a month old. |
